All of these bedding set sizes may also come with pillow shams, pillow inserts, quilts, sheet sets - flat sheet, fitted sheet, and pillow cases. Check particular bed product or category description to see what the bedspread ensemble includes. IMPORTANT: If you would like to have additional pieces added to your bedding set than please call in and one of our customer representatives would be sure to help you out with that. Various materials are used in different bedding sets.Linen - a very durable material woven from flax. A great choice for the summer months as it is cool and smooth at the same time. Linen’s best feature though its ever increasing strength after every wash - linen bedding and sets only get better with time. Polyester and acrylic - Smooth to the touch, linens are not very strong and tend to deteriorate faster than other materials. Acrylic sheets also don’t absorb moisture very well. Polyester bedding is usually much cheaper than bedspreads made from other materials. Cotton - The most desirable material for your sheets. Its unique and natural structure allows your skin to breath, taking in moisture to keep you comfortable at all times. Cotton bedding is also very durable. Sateen - high quality cotton which is silk-like to the touch. Silk - a very expensive and delicate material that requires extra attention during laundering. Silk bedding should be dry-cleaned instead of regular machine-wash. Linens made of silk tend to be very rich in color due to its natural qualities. Thread CountThread count is a measure of how many threads are woven into one square inch of fabric. The more thread is there per inch, the softer and strong the material of the bedding set. Good quality linens start at 250 thread count. Most of bedding sets that are sold by Just Home Décor are 250 thread count and over in quality and are thus considered to be luxury linens. Bedding Set ComponentsBed SkirtBedspread element also known as a Dust Ruffle is used to conceal the boxspring. Designers use this bedding set component to introduce additional color and pattern to your bedroom. Bed skirts can be either paneled or platform. Paneled ones consist of three parts that can be tucked in between the mattresses. They are thus easy to maintain and do not require you to lift the mattress every time you need to wash them. Platform bed skirts from bedding sets consist of one piece and force you to raise the mattress and placing it between the mattress and a boxspring. The usual length of the bed skirt is between 14 and16 inches. Bed skirts are more often included in Queen and King bedding sets than on smaller ones. BlanketsBlanket covers are mainly used to decorate the bed and the bedroom along with it once the bedspread is removed. It is a unique bedding piece that provides great addition when finishing the bed. Use blankets to add a personal touch to your bedroom. It is this property that makes them a focus for knitters. If you need to provide warmth to your night’s sleep this piece of bedding will do the trick. There are two main weaves for the blankets that you may want to be aware of. Thermal Weave is quite loose, for all-year-long, light-weight blanket; and Conventional Weave for colder days. Duvet CoversA light bedding cover that is placed on heavier comforters and duvets. Duvet covers are primarily used to "spice up" the linens that you already have. They usually come with a set of pillows, shams and quilts to bring a pleasant theme to your bedroom. ComfortersA heavy bedding cover that usually falls three quarters of the way down the sides of your bed. The size of your bed most obviously determines the size of the comforter. Comforters are made from Cotton and Polyester blends. The more cotton you have in your bedding comforter, the lighter and fluffier covering it is, but the more costly it gets. Comforters are often included in queen bedding sets and larger. SheetsThere are two types of sheets that you may be looking for. Fitted sheets are very comfortable in that they do not slide off the mattress once you put them on. When you go to wash you bedding, they are also harder to take off as well as to fold. Plain sheets are great in terms of storage and usability. Their weakness comes in contrast to fitted sheets concept as it slides off the mattress if you are an active sleeper. Both types come in wonderful selection of sheet sets and bedding sets on our website. PillowsPillows come in fantastic variety in the bedding world. Here at Justhomedecor.com we only have a small but efficient sample of what you can find. As it is a very important element for the level of your sleep comfort, bedding set manufacturers have included them in the designs. Together with shams and comforters, pillows bring coziness and completeness to your bedroom. They are usually included in bigger size Queen and King bedding sets, as cushions just don’t do it for the smaller beds. Pillow shamsPillow shams are very important for your bedding sets. They complete the overall look by matching your comfortable pillow insert with the rest of the comforter set. Imagine your beautiful green queen bedding comforter and the old blue striped pillows sticking from underneath. Pillow shams not only merge the two together but also allow you to protect your pillow. King bedding set components are not easily washed as they don’t fit into washing machines all at one time. So it is difficult to wash the pillow but the linen shams are simply taken off and thrown into the washing machine. Quilts
An important part of the queen and king bedding ensemble is the quilt. It brings a lot of style and accent points to the bedroom. Linens with a quilt lying on them look fantastic. Comforters and duvet covers accentuated by the quilts are as though from some fairy tale country bedding set. Caring for your Bedding
You must take good care of everything in your house and bedding is no exception. To maintain the natural splendor of the fabric you must properly wash it, dry it and in some cases even take it to the dry cleaners. So here are some pointers for taking care of your bedding.
